Celebrating 50 golden years in Business
Jack Murphy Jewellers celebrated a major milestone, marking 50 years in business in Newry. Simply part of the fabric of the retail community in Newry City and a great example of a thriving independent family business.
On Monday 20 March 1972 Jack and Pat Murphy opened their Jewellers shop on Hill Street in the city. Fifty years later to the day the couple and their family held a party in Jack Murphy Jewellers to celebrate the golden milestone.
I was delighted to be invited to attend the celebrations, creating bespoke illustrations of guests that they could keep as a keepsake from the event.
