It’s been a busy few week’s here in the studio, and I have been so excited to share this bridal illustration that I created for TV3’s Box Office presenter Lisa Cannon and her husband Richard Keatley. I was fortunate to meet Lisa and present her the illustration in person at Kildare Network Ireland’s annual charity luncheon that was in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland. During the event I was entertaining the guests with Live Fashion Sketches, that they could take home with them.
Being the former presenter of TV3’s fashion programme, Xpose, Lisa knows her style and her wedding dress is evidence to that. She looked like a fairytale princess as she walked up the aisle in her Suzanne Neville gown from the Kadee bridal store in Athlone, while Richard wore a sharp Tom Ford suit. The details of the gown included a diamanté encrusted shoulder and back detail which was accompanied by an encrusted waist belt to match. Lisa wore her hair in an old Hollywood style soft curl and the flower boutique was blush pink.
I hand drew and painted the illustration, using watercolours, pigments and colouring pencils. Then the illustration was mounted and framed in white. Having the opportunity to give Lisa her illustration in person was fantastic, she really loved it and remarked that I drew her like a Disney Princess. Mission complete!
